For the starter
- 140 g Plain white flour
- 225 g Unrefined golden caster sugar
- 7 g Easy bake yeast
- 300 ml Milk (whole) warmed
- 50 ml Water luke warm
For the feeding
- 300 g Plain white flour
- 450 g Unrefined golden caster sugar
- 480 ml Milk (whole)

Day 1: dissolve the yeast in the warm water and leave for 10 minutes.
For this step you'll need:
- 7g Easy bake yeast
- 50ml Water luke warm

Add the flour and sugar and mix thoroughly.
For this step you'll need:
- 140g Plain white flour
- 225g Unrefined golden caster sugar

Stir in the warm milk and cover the bowl loosely with a clean tea towel or cloth and leave in a cool dry place for 24 hours.
For this step you'll need:
- 300ml Milk (whole)

Day 2 and 3; stir well each day and cover again with the tea towel.

Day 4; Herman is hungry feed with 150g plain flour, 225g caster sugar and 240ml whole milk and stir well then cover again.
For this step you'll need:
- 150g Plain white flour
- 225g Unrefined golden caster sugar
- 240ml Milk (whole)

Day 5, 6, 7 and 8; stir well and cover again with the tea towel.

Day 9; Herman is hungry again, feed as you did on day 4 with 150g plain flour, 225g caster sugar and 240ml milk and stir well.

Now divide into 4 equal portions, keep one for yourself and give the other 3 away to friends with a copy of these instructions.
