- 225 ml Warm water
- 200 g Strong white bread flour
- 200 g Very strong wholemeal bread flour
- 150 g Streaky bacon rasher(s) cubed, fried and cooled
- 1 tbsp Sage leaves fresh, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Sea salt
- 1 tsp Easy bake yeast

Put the ingredients into the bread maker baking pan in the order specified for your particular model (see manufacturer’s handbook). Set to the basic white program.
For this step you'll need:
- 225ml Warm water
- 200g Strong white bread flour
- 200g Very strong wholemeal bread flour
- 150g Streaky bacon rasher(s) cubed, fried and cooled
- 1 tbsp Sage leaves fresh, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Sea salt
- 1tsp Easy bake yeast

Remove the dough from machine and knead until smooth.

Shape the dough into an oblong and place into a 900g/2 lb greased loaf tin.

Leave to prove until double in size.

Brush with water and sprinkle on some more dried sage. Bake at 190°C (170°C, 375°F, gas mark 5) for 30 minutes.
