For the fairy cakes
- 200 g Butter (unsalted)
- 200 g Unrefined golden caster sugar
- 3 Egg(s) (free range) medium, beaten
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 200 g Self-raising white flour
- ½ tsp Baking powder
For the topping
- 30 g Unrefined golden icing sugar
- 30 g Cocoa powder
- 120 g Butter (unsalted)
- Strawberries to decorate

Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan, gas mark 5). Line a cupcake tin with 12 cupcake cases.

Beat together the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
For this step you'll need:
- 200g Unrefined golden caster sugar
- 200g Butter (unsalted)
- 3 Egg(s) (free range) medium, beaten
- 1tsp Vanilla extract

Stir in the flour and baking powder.
For this step you'll need:
- 200g Self-raising white flour
- ½tsp Baking powder

Spoon the mix into the cake cases and bake for 12-15 minutes until a skewer comes out clean when inserted.

To make the icing, mix together the icing sugar, cocoa and butter. Put a teaspoon on each cake, and top with a piece of chopped fruit.
