For the dough
- 450 g Very strong white bread flour sifted
- 1½ tsp Easy bake yeast
- 1½ tsp Unrefined golden granulated sugar
- 1½ tsp Salt
- 260 ml Warm water
- 60 ml Olive oil
For the tomato sauce
- 400 g Chopped tomatoes
- 1 Garlic clove(s) crushed
- 1 tsp Basil (dried)
- 1 tsp Oregano (dried)
- 1 tbsp Tomato puree

To make the tomato sauce, empty the tomatoes into a saucepan and add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to the boil, then turn down the heat so that the mixture simmers for about 30 minutes. You can store in the fridge until you are ready to use the sauce then spread over the pizza base.
For this step you'll need:
- 400g Chopped tomatoes
- 1 Garlic clove(s) crushed
- 1tsp Basil (dried)
- 1tsp Oregano (dried)
- 1 tbsp Tomato puree

Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan, gas mark 6). Grease 1 or 2 baking sheets.

Put the flour, yeast, sugar and salt into a bowl. Mix gently and make a well in the middle. Add the water and oil and mix into a soft dough that comes away from the edge of the bowl.
For this step you'll need:
- 450g Very strong white bread flour sifted

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes.

Shape into 2 smaller pizza or 1 large circle. Place on the greased baking sheets and spread with the tomato sauce.

Top with a generous sprinkling of the cheese of your choice and bake for 15-25 minutes or when the crust is golden brown.

If you would like a thicker crust to your pizza leave your dough to rise for 20 minutes before you add the sauce and topping.
