Usually, dosas are made from rice but Chef Shantanu Gupte uses dal to give a power packed but low calorie meal. Taking Bengal gram, black lentils, green gram, gram flour, salt, ajwain and buttermilk in a mixer, he grinds it to a smooth mixture. As the dosa batter is high protein, it has low carbohydrates and helps in building metabolism. Apart from the dosas being a healthy and protein packed option, they also aide in balancing blood pressure and lowers cholesterol. This is thus a low calorie and low carb recipe and helps our bodies build a strong metabolism in the long run. This is a fantastic, healthy breakfast recipe.
