BOILED TOMATO CHUTNEY

Easy and tasty tomato chutney is a red chutney recipe, perfect for dosa or rice. Boil it before tempering.

INGREDIENTS:

Tomatoes 7 nos
Salt To taste
Red chilly powder 1 tbs
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Mustard powder ½ tsp
Cumin powder ¼ tsp
Fenugreek seeds powder ¼ tsp
Oil 5 tbs
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Cumin seeds ½ tsp
Garlic 7-8 cloves
Red chillies 1-2 nos
Curry leaves 1 spring
Ginger garlic paste ½ tsp

METHOD:

1. Wash and wipe tomatoes with cloth, later cut into pieces.

2. Heat pan and add tomato pieces, salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste and saute it cook it with lid on it on slow flame for 10- 5 mins.

3. Remove lid add mustard powder, cumin powder, fenugreek seeds powder and mix it.

4. Heat oil in another pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, red chillies and switch off flame, add curry leaves.

5. Add this tempering to tomato mixture, check for seasoning and transfer into a container.

6. Now boiled tomato chutney is ready to serve.
